In an effort to make voting more accessible for senior citizens

In an effort to make voting more accessible for senior citizens, the Election Commission of India has announced that voters above 80 in Bengaluru will now have the option to cast their votes via postal ballots. This move is expected to increase voter turnout among the elderly population and ensure that their voices are heard in the upcoming elections. To apply for a postal ballot, senior citizens will need to fill up a form and submit it to the Election Commission, following which they will receive a ballot paper via post. The completed ballot paper can then be sent back to the Election Commission via post.
