As Jammu and Kashmir gear up for their assembly elections starting on September 18, 2024, the Border Security Force (BSF) has ramped up its security measures along the region’s borders. Inspector General of the BSF, Jammu frontier, D K Boora, has assured the public that robust counter-infiltration strategies are in place to ensure a peaceful and uninterrupted electoral process.

He assured that no infiltration attempts by terrorists would be tolerated during the election period. The BSF’s increased presence in sensitive areas like the Chenab Valley and south Kashmir aims to guarantee the safety of the electoral process across 24 assembly segments.
